Fiscal Year 2025 Grants

The Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) is proud to announce the availability of three grants for fiscal year 2025. These programs are designed to support law enforcement agencies in their efforts to enhance public safety, improve technology, and strengthen community relationships. Please see below for the details on the available grants:

• Officer Recruitment and Retention

This grant provides funding to help law enforcement agencies recruit and retain qualified officers. It aims to address staffing challenges and ensure communities that are served by dedicated and skilled personnel.

Deadline To Apply (Extended): February 1, 2025

• National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN) Grant

This grant provides funding to local law enforcement agencies for the purchase, expansion, and maintenance of equipment and services that support the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN).

Deadline To Apply: April 1, 2025

• Law Enforcement Camera Grant

This grant provides funding to Illinois police agencies including, municipalities, counties, park districts, public universities, and other local governmental units, for the following: 

• In-car video cameras for law enforcement vehicles
• Officer-worn body cameras for law enforcement officers
• Data storage related to officer-worn body cameras
• Training for law enforcement officers on camera operation
